Are you interested in researching your family history? Ancestry.com is a great place to start. It has billions of records that include censuses, vital records, immigration records, family histories, military records, court and legal documents, directories, photos, maps, and more.  At the library, you can access all of Ancestry.com’s online record for free.

This is a useful resource for conducting research for teens and adults. Covering a wide array of topics in areas such as Health, History and Social Studies, Arts & Literature, and more. All entries are full-text documents.


Legal Forms

Get access to Virginia Legal Forms, including forms for wills, divorces, power of attorney, and more. These forms are available in Microsoft Word and Rich Text Format.

A great resource for students in elementary and middles school as they search for useful content for papers and projects. Easy to use with lots of pictures.


Novelist K-8

This will help kids, teens, and parents find a book for readers from birth to teenagers. Each book listing includes reviews, a lexile score,  accelerated reader level,  a recommended grade level, and whether it is part of a series.

This useful resource will help you research a variety of subjects, while assisting your English skills. This is a great tool for English Language Learners. It also includes a tool to hear the text aloud.
