Mother Goose on the Loose is an award-winning nursery rhyme program for children from birth through age 5. Enjoy nursery rhymes, songs, fingerplays and stories at the picnic shelter at Critterville Park in Richlands. Weather permitting.
Distribute Free Produce Boxes
At the Bluefield Library (VA), we will distribute free produce boxes every Tuesday starting Tuesday, June 18th from 1:30pm – 3:00pm. Available while supplies last. This is co-sponsored with the Appalachian Sustainable Development – ASD.
Creek Critter Camp
Join the library at Creek Critter Camp at Dunford Park in Tazewell. Experience a morning of activities, crafts, stories and more. In partnership with the Tazewell Soil and Water Conservation District. This is a free event for all ages. There is no sign up.
Children’s Library
Through a collaborative effort of Crab Orchard Museum and the Tazewell County Public Library, a temporary Children’s Library will open for summer of 2024. Tazewell Pop-up
The Tazewell Pop- up is open on Wednesday, Thursdays, and Fridays from 11am – 1pm at the County Administration Building. Come check out books and magazines, get a library card, or read a newspaper. This is free and open to the public. This is a temporary location while the Tazewell Library on Main Street undergoes repairs.
Garden Planting
Join the Bluefield Library and the Tazewell County Master Gardeners on for planting in the library garden. We will plant seeds and transplants. All ages are welcome to participate. Children should be accompanied by an adult. This is a free program open to the public.
Open Mic Night
Join us for Open Mic Night at The Well Coffee Shop. This is an all ages event. Bring your songs, guitar, stories, poems, and jokes. If you just want to listen and watch, this is always a fun evening. This is a free event. Food and drinks are available to purchase.
Down on the Farm
Down on the Farm will be May 11, 2024 from 10am until 1pm at Nuckolls Hall at the Tazewell County Fair Grounds.
