Tazewell County Public Library offers programs and events for kids of all ages. Join us for fun and educational experiences and explore the treasures of your public library! Programs are free and open to the public. If school is closed due to inclement weather, programs are cancelled.

After School Program

Come to the library after school for educational and exciting programs geared towards kids from k-5th grade. Enjoy stories, crafts, games and snacks and experience the treasures of your public library.

Lego Club

Join other Lego enthusiasts and create unique and colorful constructions. Kids love the unlimited open-ended possibilities of building with Legos. Legos are provided by the library. Donations of new and lightly used Legos are welcome and very much appreciated. Help us to build great minds!

Mother Goose on the Loose

Mother Goose on the Loose is an award winning nursery rhyme program for children from birth through age 3. Children and caregivers enjoy nursery rhymes, music and movement during this 30 minute interactive program. An ideal early learning experience!

Readers’ Theater

Readers’ Theater offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with other kids age 8 and up and perform a play. Kids read from scripts and prepare props. Readers’ Theatre is a fun way to develop public speaking skills.

Story Time is a great early learning experience! Listen to stories, play instruments, wave scarves and make crafts. Join in the fun!

Monster Mash Party

Join us at the Bluefield Library on Tuesday, October 23 from 6:00 – 7:00pm for a cute and Silly Monster themed party. Games, Crafts, Stories and More!

Pumpkin Painting

BRING YOUR OWN PUMPKIN to the library to decorate and paint at the Richlands Library on Monday, October 22 at 6:00pm! All decorating supplies such as paint and stickers will be provided by library. Light refreshments will be served.
