Banned Book Club @ Tazewell Library

We will continue with our Banned Book Club into the Fall. We will discuss our impressions of the book. We will discuss why these books have been challenged or banned. We will read brief articles on why books are currently being challenged in libraries and schools throughout the country. We will discuss First Amendment issues that surround censorship and how it applies to book challenges.

September: Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher (Banned Book Week is September 18 – 24th)
November: We will read of selection of challenged or banned children’s picture books. Read a couple or all the books
