How to make Homemade Seed Bombs @ Richlands Library

Seed bombs are all natural balls made from soil and flour rolled in wild flower seeds. They attract bees and butterflies at maturity and continue to re-pollinate the area. Life sustainable levels.

Learn to make environmentally friendly, family safe, seed bombs that will help increase natural plant life in our communities. Seed Bombs make gardening fun and easy for all ages.

Pound Exercise Class @ Richlands Library
Jun 24 @ 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm

Susan Lester Harris – Susan is a trained, certified Pound instructor at the Southwest Virginia Community College YMCA.

POUND® is the world’s first cardio exercise program that incorporates music, cardio workout routines, and techniques used by musicians while playing drums (sticks are provided by the instructor). Susan is qualified to work with both beginners and those who have regular exercise routines. It’s a lot of fun!

How to Write Flash Fiction @ Richlands Library
Jul 1 @ 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm

In this two week session, you will learn how to write to write Flash Fiction, which is fiction that is composed in a few hundred words.

This session will be led by writer Maddie White.

1st session

  • Discuss what flash fiction is.
  • How to write it.
  • Start write first draft based on theme.
  • Pair up with a partner and help brainstorm/edit.

2nd session

  • Work on Final Draft.
  • Show them how to format.
  • How to submit for publication.
  • Prepare email.
  • Copy and paste the formatted document into email body.
  • Presentation of flash fiction to group.
