Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah is the story of an unlikely friendship between two young girls who become the best of friends and allies. Kate is doomed to be forever uncool, with a loving family who mortifies her at every turn in the eighth-grade social scene. Tully is steeped is glamour and mystery, but with a secret that is destroying her. By the end of summer, they have become best friends and inseparable. For thirty years, Tully and Kate help each other through life, weathering the storms of friendship. They think they’ve survived it all until a single act of betrayal tears them apart.
This is truly a wonderful book about the ups and down of two very different friends and their struggles to overcome trials of all manner.
